Part of the reason he gets such relaxed photographs is that he makes every effort to meet his clients and get to know them before their big day. Feed back is important to. Greg Forbes www.foto-fanatik.co.uk took some time out during the winter to travel around Asia in an effort to develop his knowledge of Asian wedding culture. During the last few years he has photographed a considerable amount of Asian weddings throughout Scotland. From muslim, hindu and sikh he has a good understanding of the differing cultural aspects to these occasions. He has set his sights on photographing a buddhist wedding in 2010 and is prepared to offer a reduction on his normal rates for any oppertunities that come along.

This photograph was taken during the recent wedding in Dollar, Scotland. During the post production process the photograph was turned into a dramatic Black and White providing a timeless classic.

They say never work with children and animals. Normally when I am photographing a Bride and Groom walking down the aisle it's enought work to concentrate on two people. Add in the family dog and my works cut out. At this recent wedding I captured the moment.

Here Greg uses the low water levels on the Tay River in Dunkeld, Perthshire to capture a lovely reportage photograph of the couple relaxing by the river. During 2009 I am luck enough to have some of the finest up and coming wedding photographers in Scotland assiting me with my wedding shoots. John Irvine, Jose Vega Lozano and Colin McQuillan are three of Scotlands developing talents in the field of wedding photography. The above photograph was taken by John at a recent wedding in the Scottish Borders. It's style is typical of John and a real add top my team.

This image is one of my favourite wedding images from the last few years. It was taken, unposed during the couple’s first dance. Although they started together they were quickly joined on the dance floor by their three year old daughter. The Bride and Groom will cherish this image for ever. As a reportage photographer I am continually on the look out for opportunities to add to my days photographs.

Reportage means looking for the photos as they happen naturally

Where as it might not be everyones couple of tea the groom was into skate boarding and chose to kit out the boys in Vans trainers.

With the trend towards Reportage wedding photography, lets not forget that there is still an important place for some Formal wedding shots during your wedding day.

Airth Castle is just a wonderful place to take photos. The Castle and Hotel are great for photographs and the grounds are stunning. I have photographed a number of weddings at Airth Castle and know all the best placed to take photographs

Kinross based wedding photographer Greg Forbes recently took the wedding photographs of Lisa and Simon in the old High Street of Edinburgh, better known as the Royal Mile. The Bride and Groom really enjoyed walking down the High Street and finding wee side streets and courtyards to take their photographs as we went.

Just as the leaves start to turn is a fantastic time to have your wedding at Airth Castle in Stirlingshire. The resort is surrounded by stunning old mature trees that make a great backdrop to your wedding photos.

I just love photographing couples at this place and am fortunate to have bookings from clients from 2009 and 2010.
